At
Eirene Retreat we have an orchard with plums, nectarines,
peaches, apricots, pears and apples. Guests are welcome
to help themselves when fruit is in season. We do
not use sprays on the fruit. As much as possible
we use organic products. Organic shampoo and body
wash toiletries are provided for use.
We also have a
vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use.
You can get up
close and personal with our 5 sheep and 1 pony.
They love to be fed and the Shetland pony enjoys
taking children for rides.
As you can see
from our guests comments the most appreciated experience
at Eirene Retreat is peace. This is why we called
our retreat Eirene (Greek for Peace). We hope you

Located on the banks of the beautiful Akatarawa River in
Upper Hutt our accommodation provides a private,
comfortable home away from home. A self-contained
villa with two bedrooms, sleeps four, has its’ own
kitchen, bathroom and living area. Ideal for honeymoon couples or families alike.
We provide a special
package for wedding couples.
Situated on five
acres but only minutes to Upper Hutt city you can
experience peace and tranquility. Wellington is
also only 30 minutes away.
As a bed and breakfast
you will be provided a sumptuous breakfast, chosen
from our exciting menu, in the privacy of your
own villa. Meals are also available upon request.
Our French style
villa’s interior is designed in keeping with the
French theme with an infusion of New Zealand accessories.
After a long day
exploring Wellington and the surrounding area you
can relax in the spa pool and enjoy studying the
night sky.
Or in the Summer enjoy a game of tennis or croquet on the grass
court.
