Walkway – A 5-6 hour walk suitable for active people of all ages. Open 1 Oct – 1 May.

Blueberry and Emu Farm:
Stroll through the wild flower meadow, have a close encounter of the ‘Emu kind’,
pick your own pesticide-free Blueberries. Open mid December to Easter.

Hill Herb Farm: Herb nursery, shop, and gardens.
Efil
Doog Garden of Art: Contains a collection of contemporary NZ sculptures. The Rhododendrons are
at their best Oct-Nov. The art gallery hosts a fine collection
of original early NZ paintings. Open Oct –April.
Harcourt
Park: Recreational park featuring Azalea and Rhododendron gardens, adventure playground,
picnic areas... a Lord of the Rings filming location.
Karapoti Valley and Akatarawa Forest:
Popular area for trail and mountain biking, trekking, sightseeing, bush walking,
kayaking, and fishing.
Moss
Green Garden:
Large informal tranquil country garden set in bush-clad hills on Akatarawa
Rd. Open weekends.
Staglands:
Walk amongst the many different native and introduced birds,
animals and trout as you enjoy the beautiful natural surrounding.
Relax in the café.

Blueberry Farm and Bakehouse:
Organic blueberries. Open Jan – March.

the cultural capital of New Zealand with an amazing café
scene to go with it.
Kaitoke Regional Park:
Rain forest of around 2000ha. Excellent picnic and barbecue area.
Martinborough vineyards: are only 40 minutes away too so our bed and breakfast
is a happy medium to visiting both Wellington and the Wairarapa
districts.
