Your hosts Mary and David Beachen have enjoyed living in the picturesque Akatarawa area for twelve years and have been sharing their lovely place with travellers for ten years.
David is a civil engineer and works for a consulting company in Wellington.
Mary is an alcohol and drug counsellor (and a trained barrister to ensure the coffee is great!).
We decided to have a retreat lodge/ spa bed and breakfast because of the opportunity to meet people.
Over the past few years we have never been disappointed. We love the diversity of people we meet and have made many friends.
We love being able to share our paradise with others so that they also may be able to enjoy what we have been blessed with.
Our interests include travel, gardening, cooking and music. We have three teenage children.
